'It's up to us as women to make the changes we want'
A woman in the township of Mitchells Plain in Cape Town, South Africa has launched a taxi service to try and provide safe transport for women and girls.
Joanie Fredericks herself a survivor of violence set up the Ladies Own Transport Services (Lots) Driving School three years ago, to teach women to drive.
Because of her initiative, nearly a 100 women have managed to get their drivers’ licences.
Now she’s branched out into a taxi service where women drive women. Mohammed Allie has been speaking to Joanie Fredericks.
