'Auntie Madge' Tillsley became the first ever black mayor of a Worcestershire town, 1991. Councillor Joe Baker says she paved the way for women to become community leaders, as well as opening up about how seeing her, as a woman of colour, take office, it empowered him to be the town's first openly gay mayor.
