County charity to get ‘Olympic sized venue’
Herefordshire Riding for the Disabled Association has raised almost £2.2million for a brand new, state-of-the-art facility, at a 40 acre site at Trewen Meadows near Whitchurch.
The charity has been operating for more than 30 years, for most of that time, renting stables and an arena at Holme Lacy College. The new location will have 20 stables and an Olympic-sized indoor arena, viewing gallery, kitchen and toilet facilities.
Kate Justice reports.
