The fight to save Bewdley's Maypole
The 37-acre green lung has gone on the market, potentially as a housing site. Locals say most residents who grew up in the 60s, 70s and 80s have fond memories playing as children on the land.
People from the Worcestershire town are campaigning to buy the privately-owned green space, which used to be owned by the later Major Webb, a former solicitor who helped create the Severn Valley Railway.
Tom Edwards reports.
