Raven Hotel: 'Droitwich's Sycamore Gap moment'

Residents and officials say that fire was 'an accident waiting to happen', after the Grade II listed building was up in smoke on Sunday 10 August 2025, and six fire crews called to the scene.

Most of the hotel roof has suffered severe fire damage, and parts of the sixteenth century building have collapsed. The centuries-old structure has not been in use for years, but has been a key landmark in the town.

Residents speaking to 麻豆社 Hereford & Worcester described the fire as 'Droitwich's Sycamore Gap moment'.
