'The rain hit you at the speed of a racecar'
Hereford holidaymaker Karlton Fields shares his experience of Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica. He describes the devastating aftermath and the intense flooding to areas of his rooms.
The Herefordian describes how he and his family took shelter in their rooms, with neighbours scares to leave theirs. They barricaded their doors, because even on the second floor, Karlton says, the deluge of rainwater would flood adjacent balconies.
