Ghana approves malaria vaccine
Regulators in Ghana have cleared an Oxford University produced malaria vaccine.
A new vaccine against malaria has been given approval for use by Ghana, the first country to do so. Regulators have cleared the way for the vaccine developed by Oxford University to be used, even though the results of final stage clinical trials have not yet been published. Early research suggests the vaccine provides more than 75% protection against malaria.
Nigerian authorities say they鈥檙e investigating the cause of the collapse of a seven-storey building under construction in an upscale neighbourhood of Lagos.
And in Egypt, a Ramadan neighbourhood football tournament is taking place, but this time with a low-budget VAR system involving mobile phones.
