"Away from the hamster wheel of the office job, I indulge Ìýmy passion for art. Listening to the radio in the Ìýbackground is a key part of that. Radio 4 can transport me to varied different worlds, without the distraction of someone else’s pictorial interpretation. I am able to do some of my best work when listening to the spoken word. It seems to leave part of my brain free to do something visual. My favourite time to paint is Saturday mornings, when my partner is at work and I can spread out and create whilst listening to Home Truths and Excess Baggage."
