"As a printmaker I spend a lot of time cutting lino or preparing an etching plate which is a slow and laborious task. This is where Radio 4 comes to the rescue relieving the tedium and providing an entertaining companion. I particularly enjoy the plays and interviews with people leading diverse and eccentric lives. These can be direct Ìýinspiration for my work. A play, sometime ago, about Mary Tofts The Rabbit Woman of Godalming, resulted in an Ìýetching. Sometimes I look at my work and think it could be an illustration for an Afternoon Play."
