"A home based artist with a radio in every room, (plus a portable in between), I structure my day around RadioÌý4. Paintings are done listening to selected items, whereas Ìýwork requiring concentration has to wait for for the breaks in between. If there are no breaks, programmes are recorded for later listening and balanced in increasingly teetering heaps. Even mealtimes are scheduled around Ìýlistening - quizzes, Sunday's Gardeners' Question Time - and everything stops for The Archers. When my husband Ìýbegan working at home, he found my radios too distracting - the happy solution - his own office down the garden!"
