"Listening to the radio has always been an inspiration to me. Especially the timeless erudition of Radio 4. There is Ìýsomething freeing about the "word box" or radio. Example: one finds the shared country wisdom of programmes such as Gardeners' Question Time. I listen to the informative tones of Bob Flowerdew and colleagues. The outcome has been my painting with a garden theme. Lots of my work stems from childhood memories of Wimbledon Park, a timeless zone of greenery."
