Ìý"I am an American painter. When I moved to London Ìýtwelve years ago, I clung to RadioÌý4. It was a guide to this Ìýsurprisingly foreign culture. I began painting four years ago. By then I had become a random listener, catching programmes when I could. Along with painting began a Ìýrekindling of my love affair with Radio 4. I mix my paints to Book of the Week or Woman's Hour. If I have planned my painting and I don't need to think that much, my mind is hooked to the rest of the morning schedule. Somehow, having my left brain engaged, the right brain is left to soar."
