    Starring: Caroline Catz (Louisa Glasson in Doc Martin) as Claire and Karim Saleh (Munich, Sea of Souls) as Ahmed

  • A love affair between London-born and bred Claire, and a Paris based French Algerian man called Ahmed.

    When Claire and Ahmed meet it is language that stands between them鈥 (something Claire intends to conquer with audio lessons and practice).

    But when Ahmed gets stopped and searched in London under section 44, the seed of a much larger difference is sown.

  • Alexis Zegerman 鈥 Writer
    Alexis鈥檚 most recent stage play Lucky Seven was premiered at London鈥檚 Hampstead Theatre (where she was Pearson Writer-in-Residence) in November 2008. Her radio plays include 鈥 Are you sure; The singing butler; Jump and a very easy death and Ronnie Gecko. Radio 4 comedy series School runs starring Anne Reid, Claire Skinner and Jason Hughes.
    Alexis is an actress who starred alongside Sally Hawkins, as Zoe, in Mike Leigh鈥檚 award-winning film Happy Go Lucky released in 2008.

  • Lu Kemp 鈥 Co-director, 麻豆社
    Lu Kemp is a theatre and radio director (winner of the Samuel Beckett Award 2005). Recent radio work includes Things to Do Before You Die by Tom Dalton Bidwell, OK Computer (a response to Radiohead鈥檚 seminal album by four writers and a sound-designer) and The Pillow Book by Robert Forrest (Will be broadcast on 13 August 2008). She has been living and working in Paris during the past year.

  • Christophe Rault 鈥 co director and sound editor, ARTE radio.com
    Christophe Rault has studied sound and filmmaking at the IIIS School. A sound and radio fanatic, he oversees all the technical and artistic matters of arteradio.com, from recording, editing and mixing to online streaming. He also takes time to direct his own personal creations, and has been praised by the cultural weekly T茅l茅rama as 鈥減laying the radio as if it was a Stradivarius鈥. Christophe Rault is currently working on a radio documentary about 鈥渙rdinary life鈥 sponsored by a large grant from the Belgium government.
