Long fascinated by the allure of Sir John Everett Millais' 'Ophelia' my ears pricked up when I heard Sir David Attenborough's Ìýprogramme Scars of Evolution. The 'aquatic ape hypothesis' suggests that at a time in human evolution we led a semi-aquatic existence. Ophelia was an Aquatic Ape! Get thee to an undersea nunnery! This epiphany has been the catalyst for a wave of new work."
