"Painting pictures is such a solitary activity and the radio Ìýhas always been with me when I paint. It stops you getting detached from the world, indeed it opens up the Ìýworld for you. Radio 4 has always been my first port of call and I like to dip into Radio 3 regularly. Since my radio Ìýlistening has gone digital I listen to Â鶹Éç7 regularly, often to programmes which have first been broadcast on RadioÌý4, but also to the magnificent Garrison Keeler. Much of my work is landscape, often with some evidence of wildlife."
