"Whilst I'm drawing, which I do almost every afternoon, I absorb so much from the pictures you paint with words; it's like having a dear old entertaining and intelligent friend sitting in the corner. You are plugged in to my kitchen, Ìýpainting room and taken up to the allotment. When I look at some of my pictures I can often remember what I was listening to (particularly plays) at the time. I would like to be able to say "The Allotment" was inspired by Gardener's Question Time - it wasn't - but it might have helped. I am Ìýblissfully alone but never lonely with my paints and Radio4!"
