"I have been listening to RadioÌý4 since I was eight years old, about the same age as my son (pictured) is now. I wake up to 'Today' everyday without fail, listen whilst I Ìýpaint, or diy, listen whilst I drive and even sometimes go to sleep with it on. My favourite programme 'Something ÌýUnderstood' is one of the best pieces of broadcasting ever. Radio is great for working to, it keeps you company, stimulates your imagination, educates and informs, and provides a sense of shared 'listenerhood' which is disappearing with the advent of multichannel television broadcasting."
