"I am a painter and work from home in a shed in the Ìýgarden. The shed is cluttered with canvases, jars, brushes and a variety of materials that inspire me, the radio being one of them. My radio is constantly on and tuned to RadioÌý4. The radio not only gives me hours of information and entertainment but sometimes it takes me out of the studio into towns and countryside. My paintings of Ìýmotorbikes relate objects and nature in a very sensory and highly visual way and the radio is a very important link between the organic body and machine."
