"I was introduced to Radio 4 when I came to live in the UK from Cape Town, South Africa in 1989. It has been my Ìýregular and constant companion during the course of each Ìýday for the last 12 years once I gave up full time paid work on the arrival of my children. Latterly I began printmaking in 1998. Since I have moved from amateur to professional artist with my own studio which I share with another printmaker. It is the friend in the corner of my studio, office, kitchen, bedroom keeping me in touch with the world, making me laugh or cry and inspiring me in all aspects of my life and my work."
