"Radio is my perfect companion to counteract the isolation while working, keeping me in touch with the outside (news and documentaries) and other worlds (Women's Hour, Afternoon Plays). Intellectually stimulating, thought provoking, comical & sometimes inspirational (Material World, 5 Shapes), though never intrusive, argumentative, Ìýor physically distracting. It sets the pace for daily Ìýroutines, lightening laborious tasks. Sometimes the content of programmes (e.g. Thinking Alowed or In Our Time) is so Ìýstimulating that I am compelled to stop & listen 100%. Duly inspired, current projects are modified or new ones Ìýseeded. Sketches or notes immediately made or revised via the internet."
