"Hooked initially while a freelance illustrator for Cosmopolitan and others I have been a Woman's Hour feminist for twenty-five years, informed and influenced by this happy hour of my mornings. The breadth of subject matter and variety of views gives us all an opportunity to Ìýhear informed discussion on anything from 'glass ceilings' or pensions to domestic abuse and religious controls. As a Ìýpainter it has inspired me to complete a series of fourteen idiosyncratic oil paintings pertinent to women of my Ìýgeneration. These pictures invite the viewer to construct a narrative around them while questioning their contemporary relevance."
