Ghost Oil Town

The town of Coatzacoalcos, on the coast of Mexico's Veracruz state, grew because of oil, but is now, in parts, a ghost town because of its dwindling importance and lack of investment.

The area suffers around 100 oil spills a year which have seriously affected local fisherman.

Outlook hears from fishermen and other residents about the impact of oil and its aftermath on their lives and livelihoods.
