"While I’m working, radio connects me with the world Ìýoutside my studio, but also helps me to isolate myself Ìýfrom it. I don’t feel that I’m alone when I have the ‘virtual’ Ìýcompanionship of my radio. Beside me, I have experts and idiots. There are voices from my town and from the farthest corners of the world. I can laugh, cry, shout at politicians, or not respond at all. Radio helps me Ìýconcentrate on my work, and distracts me from the boring mechanical aspects. Without my radio and CD player, it would be almost impossible to paint."
