"West Devon has sources of inspiration in abundance for me, being a landscape and seascape painter, but the Ìýworking day can be lonely. RadioÌý4 is good company, always chatting away with intriguing tales, news and thought provoking discussions. My watercolour painting Ìýinvolves quiet forethought interspersed with bouts of paint-flinging furious activity, rather like the average mornings' schedule on RadioÌý4! I particularly enjoy the ÌýAfternoon Play because it frequently drops you in unfamiliar territory. This doesn't necessarily produce any Ìýpaintings, but it keeps my imagination well exercised so it's fit and subtle and ready for action."
